Maguy's parents' vineyard

I'm a city boy who now lives in the country, and one of my aims when I started this project was to record the passing of the seasons, the rhythm of rural life. My region of Languedoc-Roussillon is responsible for more than a third of French wine production, and claims to be the biggest wine-producing region in the world. So the first leaves appearing on the vines marks an important moment in the year.

Lovely - look forward to the vines maturing!

I love your idea of recording the passing of seasons and this capture of new life and growth is a great start. Looking forward to seeing this vineyard through the changes. Love the pov here - fisheye lens?
As a girl from the sub tropics, I enjoy the seasonal changes here in the UK and this rhythm of life very much. Although it can still be perplexing when we have four seasons in the one day - this morning ( I'm sure it's supposed to be Spring?) we had snow followed by beautiful sunshine and then hail!

@mazaz A sort of fisheye - it's called a 9mm body cap lens - it replaces the cap used when you remove a normal lens, but it has a 9mm focal length lens with no electronics, a fixed f8 aperture and a lever to set focus to close, far and infinity. It's a toy lens really, but it cost €89 and I am having tremendous fun with it. Click on the tag 9mmbodycap if you want to see some examples.

It sounds like fun! I noted and liked the pov of these shots when you posted them but hadn't thought about the lens so much until this one. You've done some great work with it!
