Taken on Monday afternoon. These two towers were built in the 13th Century by the Kings of Majorca, who had their summer palace at the Chateau Royal at Collioure (which is beyond the Madeloc tower). They were part of a chain of signal towers designed to warn of invasion from Aragon or France.
