Grapes and vine

Yesterday's local newspaper reported that the first wine harvests had already started, very early this year. Our region in the south of France is expecting an excellent harvest. Areas further north suffered a lot of damage in Spring and the national harvest is expected to be down by nearly 20%.
Beautiful landscape shot

Lovely vines. Is it just me, but I can see a face in the wood

Nice shot. I believe the British vineyards also had a dodgy Spring and were fearing the worst, but it's all turned out OK after a fairly consistent period of sun thereafter.

Can you say which wine we shouldl look out for from your region this year?

@quietpurplehaze Now, despite drinking an awful lot of the stuff, I am no wine expert. And of course we will not know which is this year's good stuff dor two or three years. That said, we normally by quality wine from Chateau Planeres ( http://chateauplaneres.com ), the 'Romarin' is a good red and 'Prestige' is the white we usuually choose. Bt chance I found this photo essay from the Guardian covering the harvest there in 2014 https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/gallery/2014/sep/19/france-army-of-grape-pickers-harvest-in-pictures

Nice composition. It looks like an old grape vine.
