Laroque noir

Walked into the village this evening, to a Beaujolais Nouveau event, and took this on the way. My idea for today's shot had been to take a picture at the wine tasting, so I had my 'street photo' lens, 17mm, set at f8. Unfortunately, shortly after taking this photo my dog got his foot stuck in a grill and lost a claw, so instead of enjoying the wine I spent the rest of the evening mopping up blood and bandaging. Dog now asleep, and me, I'm not too disappointed with this shot.

This is the main road through the village. It is called 'Rue Louis et Michel Soler'. Father and son, they belonged to the Resistance and escorted people across the mountains to Spain during WW2. Betrayed and then captured, they both died in Nazi concentration camps.

1/3rd second, hand held, thank you Olympus for image stabilisation !
Would never have thought of doing this in mono - it works!
