Le Fajas d'en Baillette, Forêt communale de Le Vivier
"Un arbre remarquable" (a noteworthy tree), said the signpost that lead me here. You have to be a pretty unusual tree to be awarded your own name. Le Fajas d'en Baillette is a 500 year old beech (Fagus sylvatica), 30m tall and 5.75m circumference. "Fajas" is Catalan, the word for beech in French is "hêtre".
