I saw this book in the waiting area of the village pharmacy on Wednesday. Didn’t have my ‘phone with me. I rarely carry it, only on dog walks to listen to podcasts. It nags me – speak to this person, download this, check this out, etc. For the past two weeks it has been telling me to get my Covid booster shot. Since they do these vaccinations at the pharmacy on Friday afternoons, I had an excuse to return and take this photo. So I am fully boostered, fourth or fifth shot, I’ve lost count. The things I do to get a photo for this project !
If you have some basic French you might have already had a go at the translation of the book title. Probably you can’t believe it, so I will confirm, the title of this illustrated childrens’ book really is "The story of the suppository that wanted to escape its destiny". I had a quick read but I won’t do a spoiler in case you want to buy it yourself. It’s available on Amazon, but only in French and with French reviewers, who gave it 4.5 out of 5, similar to the recent bestseller by Harry Windsor.
I wondered if @boxplayer might want to introduce it to the Civil Service French Club she mentioned recently. It could be right up their alley !
