Feeling Festive by laurentye

Feeling Festive

I had such a happy and good day - despite a moment of me being excessively grumpy towards my husband (which I've since apologized for).

My day started with a sweet email from a lady I work with. It was very out of the blue, but basically the email was to tell me why she enjoys working with me and said very kind things about my personality. It made my heart melt, as I really like and respect her.

Later in the day I had a sudden realization that now it is December! So I turned on the radio to the Christmas music station. There is nothing like dancing around the living room with my cat, singing along to George Michael's "Last Christmas". I should have put my red Santa hat on.

Finally I ended my day with this Christmas countdown calendar. My husband purchased my favourite specialty chocolates to fill the calendar with, so I enjoyed my first one this evening.

Now I am officially feeling festive. I think this weekend I will decorate.
Hmmm.....I think I want a chocolate-bearing husband too! ..but how do you not just eat them all the first day? I'm not sure I could resist!
Cute pic, BTW!

Great photo Lauren . . you really got me with the "dancing around the living room with the cat!" I can picture it so well, because that's what I used to do with our cat. Made me smile! :)

@laurentye i have never had that brand before and i dont even know if i have seen them around or not. Can you buy them anywhere or only from certain stores? i just googled it, haha, and nothing looks familiar. Mmmmm, chocolate. I wonder if 9:45am is to early for chocolate?? lol.
December 2nd, 2011
@kdimagery you can only get them from their specialty chocolate shops and there are only a few shops. if you are ever in Banff they have one there. also calgary and edmonton. and no 945am is NOT too early. well i hope not, cause i ate todays advent chocolate at 1015 when i woke up :) haha
December 2nd, 2011
@laurentye hahaha!! you ate yours at 10:15, that is funny. i never did end up having a chocolate after all. Ya i figured they must be found in special stores bc i have never seen them before. If they are that hard to come by then i imagine they are amazing chocolates!

I think some doors ought to contain a bit of stale bread, or a piece of carrot behind them for that true Dickensian experience.
