Seriously 90% pop instantly when they touch the snow but if you don't give up you get to watch them freeze. I have found using a straw is more successful than a bubble wand and you can place the bubble where you want. Well eventually ...... Temps are warming up and we are in for rain tomorrow and Thursday.
last time i tried to use the straw, the liquid went right into my mouth. bleh! plus the old bones refuse to play outside anymore. killjoy! but aces on your shot, my friend. i'm living vicariously through you!
So, so jealous! I have tried this more than once but apparently not with your tenacity. In addition to that my background is not snow but dead leaves which takes away from the beauty. We seldom have temperatures cold enough to do this either. This one is absolutely awesome with the ice crystals looking like feathers!
I waver between wishing it got that cold in England so that I could have a go and being glad it never gets that cold. (Although I have heard you can make them in a chest freezer.)
@kiwichick you definitely have the temps for it. goggle frozen bubble formula. I used Dawn dishwashing detergent ,water and corn syrup. Done on my porch out of any wind on a little glass table that I placed snow on (could also use a winter hat or scarf).
