No photos from the boat this morning. Despite it being relatively calm I did not have a good trip. The Aberdeen - Kirkwall leg was not pleasant not helped by our cabin being as near the front of the boat as possible so the swell had maximum effect. The plus side of sea sickness is that the only cure that is required is dry land and fresh air.
There are still a few bees around at the moment but not for much longer I fear.
My dad has never forgotten his first crossing on the St Claire in 1956 when he went north for Up Helly Aa with my mum, just after they got engaged. They both spent the night being seasick. They also found themselves amongst the crew of a South Georgia whaling vessel, returning to Shetland after a year away from home. It was quite the experience, I believe.
