It must be 13 years now since Lerwick was on the Norrona's list of ports of call. Missed greatly by yours truly for easy passage to Norway in those days.
Ohh, Norrøna. I had countless trips with her. It was so easy to have a short break in Shetland back in the days. I understand that you miss her. Shetland was a very popular destination. As I understand it, Bergen and Lerwick didn't give a profit. so that's why they stopped. Now she sails between Hirtshals (DK) - Tórshavn (FO) and Seyðisfjørður (IS)
@okvalle You are right Smyril Line made more money by by-passing Bergen and Lerwick. What annoys Shetland people is that Shetland put a lot of money into Smyril Line to keep it in business and the agreement was that it came to Lerwick for 10 years. After that they ditched the Isles.
