I am learning so much on here. Thanks to your comments @monikozi, I have taken off the 'vivid' filter I used for yesterday's photo and played around with saturation settings - along with a few others, I can't remember which now! And I do think the details of the petals stand out better now, so thank you.

From my pov, this is much improved. I like how the background is a bit darker and the colour in the petals is so lovely. Those purplush strokes at the base of the petals are so delicate and add so much.
As for the filters, I don't bother about remembering them. I edit mostly intuitively - a fancy way to say trial and error :)
