Today’s hike was the Mica Hill trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It winds through the taiga forest to a bare and windswept plateau, with many outcroppings of mica and quartz. This panorama shows the spot on the plateau where we stopped for a snack. The wind was incredible - we could barely keep our feet. Good thing my hat has a chin strap. 😁
