Casa Labia by ludwigsdiana

Casa Labia

in Muizenberg. It was built in 1929 designed in a neo-Renaissance style with features reminiscent of a Venetian palazzo. Ida was the daughter of a mining pioneer and married Count Labia in 1921. So much has happened to it in the years between. In 2008 Count Luccio Labia, Ida's son regained ownership and it was lovingly restored. It is now a wonderful restaurant and event location.
Beautiful!

Lovely building. I wonder how the family originally came by their name! Relatives of Casanova maybe!
