And hasn't gone anywhere for a long time, it looks like! It looks too big to go on a trailer and is a fair way from the sea so it has to have a story!
Sitting in a field of weeds not far from us!
@yonnie I could have shot it in black and white from the camera, but wanted to see it in color to compare! My editing program is so fast, limited, but fast!
I expect every one has a dream, @kamb to go to sea and sail to new shores or just fish! Not me, done that -both! Too many storms and nightmarish voyages!
My very first reaction when I saw this was "The African Queen!" I know it's not exactly the type of boat but the colorization triggered that memory! I Love This Picture!
@nikkic I have no idea of how to find the story except knock on the door of the house next door and I would be too nervous to do that! Make up the storys! I like the one about Noah's ark except for the rain! Humphrey Bogart might like this one too! What about a children's playhouse and overnight camp!
Great shot... looks good in B & W - you could just ask in general conversation, say at your corner shop or newsagent...does anyone know the story of ....!!
Grounded! Maybe it's just a tree shadow but it looks like the shadow of a person looking back at you behind the second cabin! I may be seeing things...
Wonderful image that looks really great in B&W.
(My thought was African Queen too).
