Cherries are ripe here and we are making the most of them. These ones are grown in Oamaru and are firm and juicy. I bought a cherry pitter last year and so will attempt at making cherry pie!

Delicious! We have a big cherry tree in our garden, but because of the starlings and other birds, we seldom get the opportunity to pick and eat them.

Lovely shot Maggie. It is really funny you know because I have planned to do something with a bag of cherries I bought on my way back from Bridgetown on the weekend. They are delicious and we have to make pigs of ourselves because they are only around for such a short time.
