Today, I made this card for my sister in law - SIL - and appreciate what one can do on the net now with apps and with printers. The app I used here to make the card is americangreeting.com. My SIL is also called Margaret and she is 86 on Thursday!
@catwoman2 Yes, Mary, we are going over to Central Otago where she lives and going to stay in an 1880 built stone cottage for a couple of days for a treat for her.
Very pretty card Maggie. Shall check out the site you mentioned. My sister used to make amazing cards with paper crafts. Doesn't do it so often now since having a stroke and losing the use of one arm. She still makes a few, and does it way better than I could with 2 hands! We live on opposite sides of the country, but I visit at least once a year. Last time I was there, I got her interested in this project, and I think she is enjoying a new hobby.
Awww what a wonderful card for your Sister in law :) That is a great sight I will probably start making my own cards as well :) Thanks for that! :) Huge Birthday wishes to her! :)
This is gorgeous Maggie. I think when you take the time to make and give something you made yourself, it means so much more than anything you buy in the shop. That is providing you have the time ofcourse. Bless her, I hope she has a wonderful birthday.
What a beautiful card you made for your sister-in-law. Happy Birthday to her. My Mom's name is Margaret as well and will be 81 soon. I started making her cards after her birthday last year by using photos I have posted on 365 but I like this idea of a photo of her or maybe a family photo or old photo. Thank you for sharing this, Maggiemae.
@worldbiking She did, thank you Amaya - unfortunately she already had the photo that I put on it - I'd given it to her a year or so ago! However it was the best one!
