I have been trying to take a pic of a bee in the lavender, in the roses, anywhere but they were too quick for my camera! So I concentrated on getting a clear picture of this purple poppy. As I hovered about 6 inches away from it, this bee pushed past me and said, "Its mine"! He did, really!
I've been told a couple of times by tutors that patience and perseverance is often needed in photography, especially with wildlife and nature! Yours was rewarded here Maggie, beautiful poppy AND the bee! Yay!! Fav+
@jackie8 Thanks for the appreciation, Jackie - my patience is limited with birds - I'm not staying in the same place for an hour but on the other hand if one flies in to being in front of me, I'm not going to say no!
Wow this is outstanding! I love love the color of the flower and what an awesome addition of the bee flying in to make a last second appearance :) Bee-utiful capture :)
Well, I am glad he did push past you and claim that flower! This is a great pic and congrats in the pp! That poppy's purple is so rich and luxurious! Fav?,
