for this particular event was months! I wanted to take a sunset and a moonrise at the same time. There was either total cloud cover or the moon was rising in a difficult part of the sky. However this was just right - to the north, the full moon rose over the hill and to the south, the sunset way down over the hills there!
A stunning collage maggiemae, looks so beautiful too! Quite a feat getting the two in one day, clever you!! I did notice when we were in NZ you could see the moon sometimes even in the light of the morning.
@happypat I was bouncing out one door dragging my long legged tripod out, shooting madly then wiggling it through the door down through to the front door, legs trailing (tripods, that is) and shooting down from the driveway! Didn't want to miss the colours in the sky!
Very meticulous planning Maggie - see, I told you that photographers needed patience and perseverance! That's twice this week it's paid off! Beautiful collage, well done, Fav.
@jackie8 Yes, that's right, Jackie but this one only occurs once every month doesn't it? Maybe it doesnt - sunset is getting earlier but does the moon keep up!
Really good collage Maggie. I have thought of this one myself, but timing is everything. Glad everything came together for you for this shot. I have visions of you flying through the house with your legs trailing!!!

@frida I didnt know really Frida - just noticed at this full moon that it was almost the same time. I cannot work it out - its getting a wider difference every day now! Might be one in a year?
