I first took its photo 2 hours ago and all the petals were folded. Then on looking for a better photo I found it had opened its petals out to reveal this beauty! I don't know that I've ever noticed it before!
Three good things:
1. My trousers will dry out from kneeling on wet grass.
2. A new and fancy Italian restaurant is opening tonight and although I don't have an invitation, I might go and peek through the windows!
3. We have about 37 restaurant/cafes in town of only 13000!
Reminds me of those tassel things they put on swords and window curtains. Do you suppose that where people got the idea of making things like that? I often wonder. This is so pretty.

Beautiful colors and details!! Markings like a tiger. I forget that you are having your spring, so was surprised to see this lovely flower this time of year...for us! Love seeing the spring colors as well as fall!!
