Only one son, here.. by maggiemae

Only one son, here..

and one Daughter in Law (DIL) It took me ages to get the reflections right - the light was so bright! Ended up on the floor away from windows.

This is our son who lives in Japan with his wonderful Japanese wife, Masami and family. This particular photo was taken some years ago.

Three good things:
1. He is a darker blonde nowadays - no grey hair yet.
2. I had cleaned the floor before I lay on it.
3. John cleaned out his tool box!
Nicely done!

Are your three good things by any chance a part of Ann Voskamp's 1,000 gifts challenge?

@darsphotos this framed photo has a round chrome teapot half on it. The lower half reflects the photograph. I then turned the whole photo half round so young John looks upright! Glad you think its nice - I think anything about my son John is nice!

A great juxtaposition of frame & teapot maggiemae.....quite a task to get them just so! It's a lovely photo of the two of them......so far away but still in your everyday thoughts! Of course like me you look far too young to have a son this age!

Interesting reflection shot, Maggie. I can quite believe the time it took to get the reflection you wanted. But you nailed it!

Very cool - I love the stripy leggings! Do you get holidays in Japan? I bet their children are beautiful - I know some English- Japanese children and they are gorgeous.

Lovely piece of work, Maggie. One of our sons lives in California with his wife and two children. We miss them terribly but they have a good life out there and that is more important than our sense of loss.
