Down at the Harbour in Oamaru, the Sailing Regatta held interest mainly for the classic style of boats. Most of these boats were hand made by their owners and all keen to see how they race. This one had a square sail and of unusual colour.
Three good things:
1. Only got one knee sandy and wet.
2. Interested in several types of exposure while I shot these water scenes.
3. Decided that I prefer colder temperatures when out for a hill walk.
That beautiful sail dominates the photo......has a sort of warmed by the sun feel......messing about in a boat, just bliss when you are sea lovers. You are lucky to live near the sea but specially as you seem to have a lovely harbour to shelter in.
I like how you have composed this shot Maggie, with the sail right in the middle. Draws the eye right in, and the colours are really harmonious and soft, lovely!
Nice shot, Maggiemae. Love your three good things. I forget to mention that as you have been doing this for some time. Sorry I am behind on commenting. I have no idea how many keep up.
