"I was told..... by maggiemae

"I was told.....

....to look at the sky" says Seagull One! "You are so stupid"! says Seagull Two!

You need to enlarge this upside down look, to see it clearly.

Down in the Otago Harbour in NZ the town of Dunedin is built around the sea harbour and offers wonderful views all around. I was here for a bookclub meeting - always very interesting and the usual fabulous afternoon tea! The lemon cake was thick, moist and fragrant!

Three good things:
1. We had John to drive most of us down there, a 1 &1/2 hour journey.
2. The cat is sitting on the trampoline and I have thoughts of jumping on behind her - talk about flying pigs - this would be the cat version!
3. Its Friday and although I have no Catholic history, I do like fish on this day!
Looks like you'd get a good view in any direction here! Fun shot.

So long as the sky isn't falling down! Sounds like a very dedicated book group driving 1.5 hours - good idea to make it into a trip out though.

Very nicely caught and captioned. Dunedin is one of my favorite cities, especially the Otago Peninsula and the great auk center. Hope I see it again someday.

The capture and your commentary are so funny :)

Your commentary reminds me of the book, "Johnathan Livingston Seagull". Not that that dialog was in it, but the book was about a seagull who wanted to learn about life and how to fly fast.

@skipt07 I have that book in a bookcase somewhere Skip! A lovely story!

I really like the perspective on this. The foreground draws you in and the background adds to the rich and complex composition.

@riverlandphotos Ok, gotcha! Seafood patties tonight! We just about went to Dunedin when we were in Florida some years ago!
