Fortunately he is upright - at this stage! John going off on his 1954 Velocette to get a WOF. The bike tipped over when he was trying to park it and fell on to his ankle!
Three good things:
1. Only bruising on the ankle and some voltaren ointment helped. Not so good - the side support broke.
2. The bike got its WOF and had started first pop!
3. My chicken in the Sous Vide method was divine - tender but not dropping off the bone and the skin peeled off beautifully! (skin has a lot of fat in it)
First is this your garden....mighty fine shrubbery!
Poor John....he would be shaken & not a good look when you first set off with this lovely shiny machine!
Glad not too much damage!
Great bloom on this photo.
@happypat Yes, Pat, this is the corner of the house and the driveway comes round from the back. John clips all this - it is his gardening job and he likes to do it.
Get picture, but the members of my family have amassed more than a year of hospital time due to motorcycles. Love the freedom but still, treat them with respect and they still bite you.
@pandorasecho I know too well about the motobike accidents that continue to happen. John is very careful and I can see him being careful so that is good!
Your garden looks lovely, John looks super, and dinner sounds good! Glad to hear there was very little damage and that not much was needed on John for repair. I hope the same is true for the bike. Nice shot!
Nice shot. That is a very nice bike. Not sure what WOF is, but that's cool he went. Sorry to read about the injury to both rider and bike. But both are repairable so that's a plus!
Beautiful flowers and scene but sorry about John's fall. Glad your chicken turned out so well :-) I like only crispy skin, like in a roast chicken...yum!
better the bike's side support breaking rather than any part of john, right? bit of a selfie there with your head's shadow at the bottom. i don't eat chicken (or duck or beef or pork) but i remember the days when i used to cook the perfect chicken. i still swoon over the sweet smell of any stew though. if i don't eat them, it doesn't mean i won't appreciate good cooking. but what i love about this photo is your garden. it is huge and it is so beautiful. show us more, maybe? pretty please?

And great that John is okay and that the Voltaren worked.
