Early morning scene from our kitchen window. I seem to be doing a lot of dark photos lately but am still challenging myself for a real photo per day even if I am rushed.
Three good things:
1. Getting to know the exchange rate in euros and US dollars pretty fast.
2. Bought a gorgeous summery dressing gown with lots of lace for $10 in the Hospice shop.
3. Finding out about several cameras (not going DSIL)
your list of 3 things is quite positive sounding and intriguing! Hmmm...Your view is nice..you are on the top of the hill looking out over all the other guys!
Your misty just coming light shot is really compelling to look at. I can just imagine you looking out of the window waiting for the kettle to boil for that first cup of tea...love those smoking chimneys! Beautiful layers & a great edit!
@happypat Early wakenings for you, Pat! One thing - we don't have a kettle - installed a boiling tap on the central bench and its always on tap at boiling point! So handy! So more time to stand and stare!
Such a great shot, Maggiemae. Love your three things a day. I am looking for a new camera as well and not a DSLR. Great price for a dress, love thrift store shopping.
@darsphotos It pays to know what one really wants in a camera I think, Darlene. I don't want to lug stuff around but want the ability to use manual the way I want! I'm going for a good compact - Olympus Stylus 1 seems to be the best from my research.
@maggiemae I have been searching for a while as you know and with my camera getting worse, I have to find something soon. I have the same issue as you, I do not want to lug a lot with me but want a good camera. Thank you for saying what you are looking at. I will have to check it out. I got a lot of input from others on 365 and have watched to see how photos look and have based it on that along with my sons input.
You have a lovely outlook from your window and this dawn view has lovely dark and smoky tones that add mystery to the familiar. I am playing catch up with my comments today, but I do appreciate your regular feedback so much.
