La Parisienne by maggiemae

La Parisienne

When we visited Paris over 40 years ago, there was an abundance of dogs and what they left on the pavements. This time the pavements are clean. Signs that they love dogs are evident as in this photo with its iconic background.

Three good things:
1. Found our way back to the hotel after going completely the wrong way.
2. Remembered some of my school french.
3. The food is wonderful here
Nicely framed!

It looks like you're having a wonderful trip! Glad to hear they've cleaned up their act. I remember something similar while visiting Belgium about 20 years ago.

Quite an amazing composition! Very nice.

beautiful shot! Last time I was in Paris (in '89) they had a guy on a motorcycle with a vacuum cleaner cleaning up the dogs' messes. Much more hygienic than owners picking up with a plastic bag!

Great composition!
You're not crossing the border to Belgium are you?
August 20th, 2014
Fave for me - love it! I think Paris has improved in many ways but not lost its style - and you can still get waiters to be rude to you in a traditional restaurant!

That description of the way it was, did not bring a good view to mine, but this shot is great
