Down in the Aquataine district of France these sorts of scenes were common. The church spire always dominates small villages. Travelled down on the TGV going backwards ( my seat determined this position) Little did I know that I was beginning the trials of another illness.
Three good things;
1. This time, not in a hotel room did I languish, but in a charming country gite with family.
2. Although I didn't have the energy to explore Bordeaux and its history, I did admire its amazing buildings.
3. The weather isn't as hot as America.
You are I'll again, so sorry the worst thing to be when you are away from home!
Do hope it passes quickly....are you able to see a doctor while you are travelling?
Lovey French countryside......trying to make out what crop it is.......maize perhaps! Perhaps a few glasses of red wine might be the thing!
@happypat Most frustrating - nausea, aching head, diarrhoea etc. Being in France with no appetite! Don't even fancy 1 glass of red! Thanks for your concern!
Don't drink the water, that will make you ill - I think it is something to do with the added floride. Poor thing, I do sympathise. This is is a beautiful shot and hope you feel better tomorrow.
I'm so glad it's cooler -- we are still feeling the heat though it's actually been more bearable than many summers! I remember those villages in Southern France. Nice capture -- since I'm going backward through your photos, I know you recovered!
