In a bird park in Valencia, all the birds were in a huge hemisphere and had plenty of space. This was a moorhen, similar to ours in NZ but brighter.
Three good things:
1 Managed to make it back to the hotel but exhausted after 6 hours of walking in 30deg C temps.
2. Vending machines - gave us food even if they ate several extra euros doing it!
3. Down to the pool in the hotel lift trying not to be noticed and the lift stopped 4 times without permission and opened the doors to let my poor swim clad body be seen!
A brightly coloured bird -- love the matching beak and legs -- and what big feet !
so you had a busy day and a well earned swim I hope --although getting there was not as discreet as you had hoped !! ha ha
Your #3 good thing made me laugh out loud.......so funny but I know what you mean! Everyone is so sleek & glamorous in some of these hotels...enough to give you an inferiority complex......young too which is worse! LOL.

A sleek and elegant bird who appears to be looking down his nose (or beak?) at everything. You need a glamorous robe to wear over your swimsuit, to be doffed only at the last moment before you go in.
