Stonewall Jackson by maggiemae

Stonewall Jackson

Not Jackson but me really. This lovely stone fence was uncovered recently along this property when they cut down the long grass to expose it. It is still in such good condition.
I rode down here on my bike, brm brm...nearly frightened a horse out of its wits and nearly passed a slow tractor pulling a heavy piece of farm machinery!

Three good things:
1. The mute button on the remote
2. John away on an Indian Bike Reveal in Auckland so I had the day to myself, ate what I wanted and watched what I wanted.
3. Missing him only after one day but messages came in.
The HDR really brings out the details!

A photo that tells a story, very nice.

November 6th, 2014
@maggiemae it's ok maggie :) , it's just a bike picture, but you know pictures talk to us when we like them :)
November 6th, 2014
Great POV! Nice processing too.
November 6th, 2014
I am dying to learn this processing - may I ask what program this is ? So, so cool :)
November 6th, 2014
@vega Its really brilliant Vega- so many options. You have to take 3 photos at the same time in different lighting with your camera then use this app: Photomax Essentials. There is a Photomax Pro but I think you have to pay for it.
November 6th, 2014
@maggiemae thanks so much - I will have to give this a try :)
November 6th, 2014
@maggiemae LOL! Thanks!

November 6th, 2014
@olivetreeann Its a fairly quiet zoom, zoom, Ann! All electric and no puffing noise coming from me!

Great shot, Maggie. What a great stone wall to discover! We have stone walls everywhere around here. They were used long ago to mark property boundaries and a lot of people have kept them restored. There are some that you come across in the woods that are falling apart because nobody lives nearby to take care of them. This is a great shot of it and the ditch and the sky is ominous looking.
November 6th, 2014
@maggiemae I guess my zoom should have been a zip, zip zip in the fact that you are really getting around on this great bike!
November 6th, 2014
Maggiemae, love the view, nice eye
November 6th, 2014
I like the HDR. Oamaru has lovely stonework - whether buildings or walls.
November 6th, 2014
A beautiful wall and a great find. Love the perspective with the bike pointing the way.
November 6th, 2014
Beaut shot of this wall - fav. I love your little red bike too - have you named it yet?
November 6th, 2014
@snaphappi Hey, never thought of this - do you think its a he or a she - it does have battery?
November 6th, 2014
@maggiemae It looks like a he to me ... battery eh? 'Charger' springs to mind, but I'm sure you can think of something much cleverer.
November 6th, 2014
@snaphappi Hmmm. it does 'charge' ahead once I start to pedal!
November 6th, 2014
What a great way to get around, I name my cars.....I'm throwing Rufus into the mix for your bike
November 6th, 2014
@pixiemac Rufus has red overtones and give the impression of being obstreperous?
November 6th, 2014
Great shot and what a way to get around. You are sure enjoying your bike. I am so glad. Sounds like a nice day to yourself too. FAV
November 6th, 2014
@darsphotos If I can think of a name for this cool bike, I would answer your comment with thanks from it!
November 6th, 2014

Love this comp!
November 6th, 2014
Lovely composition!
November 6th, 2014
Nice pov with the bike leading the way along the wall. Funny isn't it when they go away, we relish the thought of doing our own thing only to find that it's ok as long as they are back soon!
November 6th, 2014
@jennywren Exactly right, Jen! We are the lucky ones, some don't come back for one reason or another!
November 6th, 2014
Lovely capture .... love your processing and your bike:)
November 7th, 2014
