The heat is on.. by maggiemae

The heat is on..

Having had several comments about my hot peppers, I thought I'd try a photo. Interesting to see the skirt around them that once was the flower! They will turn red eventually.

Three good things:
1. I had to change doctors as my good looking German one had gone home. Went back to the one who had always made me feel a nuisance but didn't this time. Only routine stuff.
2. I left my camera in my bike basket there (shock horror) but it was still there when I came out. I'll have to make doubley sure I don't do that again!
3. The tennis isn't finished.
Oh I can't wait for spring/summer. Looks like a nice crop and nice capture of the hot peppers.

I like the different shades of green.

They do twine around a lot

Lovely green tones.

These look so healthy...no bugs on them! The colour will be gorgeous when they turn red, worth growing just for 365 alone! Honest people in your town!

Nice picture; how long does it take before they get their red colour?

Great shot, I love the detail.

@happypat Actually, Pat - I had to spray them a couple of days ago for aphids! They would have got a shock if they had tried to eat the peppers!
January 28th, 2015
@gijsje Not sure, Bep - probably about a month.

cool shot, love their skirts!

Love the green on this! And I love all the curvy lines! I wish I liked hot peppers, but my tastebuds scream out in annoyance when I eat them.

@smellychelli Ours do too, Michelle but the challenge of getting over it is never ending!
January 29th, 2015
Well they look great and very tasty- although I couldn't eat them as I do not do well with hot/spicy things!

Great shot of your beautiful peppers, Maggiemae. You do have a green thumb. So glad your camera was still there. Once one does something like that they never forget. Too bad your Dr moved away. I do not care for my newest one so I see another Dr in the same group.

Pretty shot of your pretty peppers. I am glad your camera was still there.

Nice shot, Maggie. It makes really cool shapes and has nice texture. I can't have hot peppers. I used to love spicy food but ever since an operation, spicy food doesn't like me.

@prttblues I think a strong stomach is a necessity as this sort of food can cause excess acid to be formed in the stomach!
January 29th, 2015
Nice shot. It would be cool to see the same once they change colour.
January 29th, 2015
@pitasmum I'll put this in my calendar, Keri - be nice if nature took it's course and they didn't all fall off!
January 29th, 2015
What beautiful vibrant color you have captured here! It's truly a gorgeous image. Whew! Lucky for you on # two!
January 29th, 2015
For a moment this transported me into the jungle. I love all that twining greenery although I don't love hot peppers. Thank-you, by the way, for your lovely comment on my comments the other day.
