I fiddled around with nothing today and then took a photo of my face with my fingers pulling back wrinkes and flabby parts. You put your thumbs under your ears and pull back then with the others, on the side of your forehead and pull back the frown marks and others. Magic! I then used an app, called “FXphoto studio Pro” to wish/wash the background. You don’t see my arms up alongside my face. Now all one has to do is go around with your hands and fingers pulling back wrinkles all the time!
Three good things:
1. A big push for less sugar in our diets. Fruit juice and carbonated drinks plus flavoured milk are full of sugar.
2. I gave up trying to shoot a beautiful scotch thistle flower that had blossomed on our outside street lawn. There were too many people looking strangely at me lying on my tum. Plus too much wind.
3. I do find reading a real book very relaxing!
4. Someone on 365 mentioned Crufts and now I’m loving the videos that come out!
I see you have achieved the stern school-ma'am effect to perfection here, Marg. I find this unusual self portrait very intriguing and I am full of admiration for you processing skills ... also a little bit frightened. :)
i have a friend in my writing circle who does this all the time. i think if and when she wins the lottery, that would be the first thing she'd do with the money, have a major overhaul of her physical self! you look great for your age, you're elegant and graceful and from the self portraits you've posted here, i can see you are a beautiful lady. but i suppose most everyone would have one or two of these fancy thoughts. the one time i did, a friend showed me pictures of priscilla presley and kim novak. oy!
@summerfield That's very sweet of you to say that Vikki but I am not beautiful - lots of wrinkles and frown lines and saggy pouches around my cheeks. However I hope my smile makes up for it.
@maggiemae - your beauty shines through the wrinkles and frown lines. heck, i don't know about the saggy pouches, i have to look at your selfies real close. or maybe i have some of those, too, i better examine my face carefully! hahahaha! you're one of the people who always tell me i shouldn't be so hard on myself, well, i'm throwing that back at you. you look great. i see contentment and you're happy where you are now in life. physical beauty is for the young, they have to learn grace and elegance which come through the years and that's what you have. (or we have!)
@judithg I am so lucky with my joints really when I read how many of the 365 clan have big problems! Better leave it to the professionals - facelift surgeons who do that exact thing that I've done with my facial skin. Only I can't go around like this.
How I would love to go round holding back the saggy bits....loving you ingenius way of hiding the arms....so funny! I do find if you lean your arms on the table & put your hands under your chin it does wonders at hiding the neck bit! Would you have a bit of work done do you think if you had plenty of money....I might have a neck lift & under my eyes done if I was a bit younger!
This is a really cool shot. You make me laugh, yes, would be nice to go around with no wrinkle and looking as perfect as we can, though you are a very beautiful woman. I love your processing. Funny, hubby and I, well I was saying that we need to change and eat healthier to feel better and for him to lose some of the pounds he has put on. Too bad you could not get the flower photo laying on your tummy. FAV
Maggie this such a fun idea and great editing. I must try it although I'm so old I don't think it would make much impression. My wrinkles are too well established!!
This has made me laugh - love how you made your arms disappear!! The natural look is best I think. Those people who have had the lift always have a surprised look on their faces!! Glad you are enjoying Crufts!! We watched last night to see the final but it was a bit noisy here as Finlay kept barking and jumping at the TV. I had to put him in the hall in the end.
Goodness Maggie! You look awesome (well not necessarily in this shot with such a stern face)! Never apologize for what happens naturally. Some people stay young by altering nature, but their age shows in every other way. Others age as they should but you can never tell their age because they love life and enjoy every minute of it. You, my (distant!!) cousin, are in the latter category!
I love you humor Maggie...I always get a good smile when reading your posts. I agree with you on your number 4....love holding a book and actually turning the page! And I love having them around. Too many at the moment probably, but they bring comfort.
what? flavoured milk? that's a lot of sugar!!!
i am sure you don't need one :)
