From the pleasant memories of an old, historic hotel where luxury was quantified differently in the 20th Century, to the scenes on the way home. The tide was coming in underneath the main road north and water featured in this particular inlet, not seen before when travelling past.
The sole swan swam majestically all on its own. Swim, swam, all over the dam!
Three good things:
1. If you look for something beautiful in your ordinary day, you will find it and those on 365 will recognise it!
2. Our new car, Sadie recognises if we come up too close to a car in front and automatically reduces speed to follow safely! Then when the car in front accelerates, we do too - you just have to steer!
3. Its a good thing I remember what day it is- some people in my immediate vicinity don’t!
What a beautiful scene. Having traveled through your area very briefly on a one day stop over during a cruise to New Zealand pictures like this one stir the memory. I always take a theme for shore excursions and wildlife was my theme for your neck of the woods.
Great clarity in the swan......love the touches of unusual colour on tail & beak. It looks a beautuful soft autumn day.......the car sounds impressive!! You didn't wish you had a Sport Discovery then?
@happypat Sadie is more a sports car than the Discovery and i like this - its got real 'get up and go" We don't need 4 wheel drive now in our sedate and old age, Pat! Ahem!
Pretty shot! I like that golden hue on the grasses back there. Had to laugh at #3. If that somebody you have mentioned is hubby, I've been told they are exempt from remembering what day it is. But I'm not sure the source is reliable!
Fab capture. Your 3 good things amused me. Car sounds highly intelligent #3 sounds like you are describing someone in my near vicinity too! Love the light in this awesome image. Fav
You don't need 4 wheel drive, but you do need get up and go? that's not sedate old age.
