The night sky was looking ominous with snow forecast in the distant mountains but not around us. I used the passing car lights for colour interest.
Three good things:
1. My ‘new road’ photo went on to TT - all due to you wonderful 365 supporters! But most of the others in TT were absolutely beautiful!
2. I love to see beach scenes when it’s a cold wintry day!
3. I’m wondering how to spell those specified areas where cows go into to get milked! Is it bales or bails? I’ve been told its not ‘stalls’ as thats for horses!
#3 Bail-style sheds[edit] found on Wikipedia! it seems they are the same.
This type of milking facility was the first development, after open-paddock milking, for many farmers. The building was a long, narrow, lean-to shed that was open along one long side. The cows were held in a yard at the open side and when they were about to be milked they were positioned in one of the bails (stalls).
Pretty sky! Was going to tell you I couldn't answer the cow question but it doesn't matter! @grammyn Katy found the answer for you. (You've got the wrong tag up there for her)
@maggiemae I'm fixing my own tags tonight too- as I realized I had the wrong name for the last one. All done as well- and credit is given where credit is due.
Dramatic shot Maggie. would make a wonderful murder/mystery book cover. Well I think so anyway but then I do have strange ideas sometime!
Congratulations on your well deserved TT. Loves that picture and your processing was spot on. TT was well deserved.
Those light trails from the cars work so well with that ominous sky! lovely shot :)
Think you were right about my bee ....... took a look at another shot and he has a white bum but more yellow that is showing on the photo.
Lovely shot, Maggie. I saw your new road was on TT. Congrats that it made it! It should have hit PP, too! The lighting in this photo is very cool. Love the dark blue hue of the sky.
