A big and busy day today - accounts and finalising the Journal publication and all its issues - jpeg, raw images, dropbox and sendspace! I feel like pulling my hair out but want to appear nonchalant and in control!
To prove this, I took a photo of just one strand of my hair! I wanted to know if my camera could cope with that focus. It did.
I couldn’t stop that tiny and exquisite fairy dancing down from the magic land of the Enchanted World to alight on my narrow strand of blonde hair!
Three good things:
1. The scallops I bought (frozen) came from Peru! Not the same as fresh! But the potatoes that I overcooked in the steamer were just divine, deep fried!
2. Washed our sheets and instead of putting them through the dryer, I made an outside line with knots (I did want to join Girl Guides but was refused entry due to bad behaviour). These knots worked and the sheets got fresh air! Smell wonderful!
3. I wish I knew Nigella Lawson! Personally!
Your idea here is ingenious maggiemae......she's his you felt but you turned it into a fairy tightrope! You have had a marathon with the book but what an achievment! You deserve to be proud! Sheets out are a must when it's fine!
Absolutely whimsical image! I can always count on you to have something unique to post! Good for you for hanging those sheets outside! I do it as often as I can because I love that smell !
Amazing focus, I love the little fairy. Nothing like making a bed up with lovely fresh sheets that have been dried in the fresh air and sun other than getting into that bed :)
An exquisite little fairy balance so perfectly. Lovely idea. What an achievement on finalising your journal. Ha, you were obviously a rebel at an early age!
Love the gorgeous little fairy balancing on your strand of hair! Well done on completing the book I am so impressed especially by your technical knowledge! Sheets dried on the line in the sunshine - that wonderful fresh smell! Fav!
I'm sure you wouldn't really want to stop her, she is beautiful. If you had really behaved all that badly, I'm sure this fairy wouldn't have wanted to dance on your hair. :)
I have never seen a single strand of hair like this. Great photo and love your creativity placing this dancing fairy on your hair. My Mom had no dryer when we were young and all laundry dried outside. I do not know how she did it as it was a lot of work. Everything smells great dried outside. FAV
@darsphotos Most people here have outside lines, Darlene - they also have dryers but don't use them much. We chose not to have one in the garden as it would spoil the look of the garden! Can afford to be fussy in our time of life! But I still love the smell of sun dried sheets!
No you are a woman after my own heart, I wish I knew Nigella too, in fact I wish she could come and be my cook! Sigh...On a different note, are you a journal editor?
Love the fairy, she made me smile!
@dibzgreasley Not an Editor Debs but it was one of my jobs a long way back. I'm just trying to get this Journal to a stage where it doesn't have to be changed. ....and I'm always wanting chocolate - probably a good thing that I don't keep any in the cupboards!
You must have a powerful macro lens to do this. The fairy is a nice touch. I have never owned a clothes dryer - living in Wellington and then near Palmerston North negated the need for one. My favourite household chore has always been pegging out the clothes.
Love air dryed clothes, and actually had a line in the backyard, but had to get rid of it due to renovation....just happened to be in the way...:-((( It would actually make so much sense in our climate, but in some neighborhoods frown upon them, and have literally outlawed them!! Love the little fairy in your strand of hair!
Well, taking a shot of a strand of one's hair is a unique way of dealing with stress! Perhaps this fairy might like to make a visit on the latest WWYD133 challenge?!
Love this shot - the little fairy is a "hairy fairy" I guess :D
Love the fairy, she made me smile!
