Flat calm by maggiemae

Flat calm

Major day in Oamaru as the Prime Minister of NZ arrive for a few important events! Dare I say $95000 support for our Alps to Ocean Bike Trail. And opening our new Business Park. This is what he saw at 10.00am in Oamaru down at the Harbour as I photographed.
He did say that a lot of Aucklanders are going to descend upon Oamaru to live with these sort of views and the fact that the average house value is NZ$220,000!

Three good things:
1. Sadie our Mercedes, shot out into the main road from an intersection with verve and speed!

2. Love the perseverance with those on 365 to shoot with Challenges which seem to me so difficult to connect with life!

3. A challenge from a prof photographer - solar storm - night - get your tripod out! I did, tripped over the roses, shot the moon, which was not the object, and got alien red blobs who were obviously going round the moon so fast they couldn’t find the earth. I feel so silly!
TR
Looks like a lovly place to reflect. I enjoy reading your three good things.

It's good that this is such a calm vista, as politics has a way of making people over-excited. :) I loved your third good thing--sounds as if you may have photographed some alien life forms. :)

My grandson has been to the ballet in Oamaru....he didn't think it would be his thing at all but he enjoyed it! Went with a French girl so that would help!!
Love the gentle wave about to break!

Now this is a view I could look at all day - I love harbours. I'd come and visit if it weren't about as far away as it could be... and Mrs S has a nephew who lives in NZ, but I don't know where.

Definitely the kind of bench you bring your lunch to on a sunny day. I hope not too many people heard the PM's opinion- you don't want to be overrun with new residents! Too bad about the tripped up solar storm shot- but lots of people will be willing to buy the alien blobs around the moon shot to prove that life exists out there somewhere else in the universe!

You live in a beautiful place.....and, those house prices are nothing to laugh at! You don't even want to know how much homes cost around her.....suffice it to say that I could not afford my own home today if I did not already own it!
