Pearls of Wisdom? by maggiemae

Pearls of Wisdom?

Back to the home tasks and comforts too! I think everyone must attempt to get the best bed for home after experiences. The lawn tried to avoid getting cut but I was ruthless!

This is a large bush and the name always escapes me but I never worry because there is always someone to tell me - ?
Its fully in flower due to severe pruning earlier in the year.

Three good things:
1. Easy to think of when you are travelling - probably simple when you get home - I know - good spelling!
2. Graeme Stevens has to be a bad thing….... he mightn’t like being classified as a thing, though! @graemestevens (He was upset that I called him "good")
3. Really thick steak! - at least 1 inch thick!
May be a version of Hydranger ? A good steak meal and a comfy bed heaven

hahahahahahahaha! to #2

@philcameron59 No, Phil got hydrangeas and I do remember their names!
September 13th, 2015
@summerfield Do you think I should mention to Graeme @graemestevens that I've posted this? Or not?
September 13th, 2015
@maggiemae - you just did!
September 13th, 2015
@summerfield ha ha..... I know!
September 13th, 2015
Lovely image Maggiemae. I know the feeling of returning home to all the chores that didn't get done while you were gone!

A beautiful glow on these blossoms -- A lovely capture Maggiemay
September 13th, 2015
Neat shot, details
September 14th, 2015
Lovely capture
September 14th, 2015
it's always good to be home no matter wht the bed is like.
September 14th, 2015
It's a lovely looking plant, and looks as though there are several pearl necklaces draped over it. Is that how it got the caption?
September 14th, 2015
They do look like pearls and would make an absolutely gorgeous wedding bouquet! I like how you composed the shot!
September 14th, 2015
Does look like pearls! Always good to get back home to your own bed.
September 14th, 2015
Pearly loveliness. Welcome home
September 14th, 2015
@skstein Yes, Sandy - they seemed to have the gloss of pearls!
September 14th, 2015
@jgpittenger Thank you Jane - nice to have a welcome! Got one from the cat, too - wouldn't leave us alone and followed all round the house miouing (how do you spell that wretched word!)
September 14th, 2015
I don't know what this is, but it' lovely.
September 14th, 2015
@tristansmum Its not oleander but something like that word!
September 14th, 2015
They are certainly pearly!
September 14th, 2015
Nice
September 14th, 2015
Beautiful!

Just an invitation to take part in the F-word challenge. Any photo of something hanging from a chain or rope. There are so many things waiting to be photoghraphed. How about taking a photo of your favourite jewellery. A chain with a pendant or a light hanging on chains from the ceiling. Looking forward to see more photos in this challenge. For details see Discuss, themes...

Sort of remind me of Hawthorn but the flowers are much prettier than Hawthorn!! Your flowers look like Mother of Pearl!! They are beautiful!!!

PS. True about the butterfly coming as the spirit of a person that passed away. My son comes as a yellow butterfly and at the most perfect times!! I also read that if you tell a butterfly "I Love You" it will fly to heaven and leave the message to the one you were thinking of!! I like that saying whether it's true or not!!

Ooops, FAV!!!!
September 14th, 2015
@cashew I am of the believing - thoughts can be transmitted - we haven't a clue what happens out there in an unknown sphere!
September 14th, 2015
@sdutoit I'm keen on this but have found it difficult to photograph jewellery! Dewdrops are hard but you can get the focus. Diamonds have so many facets but then so do we!
September 14th, 2015
Great title. The flowers do look like pearls hanging from the tree. Wonderful shot. Fav.
September 14th, 2015
Beautiful image they really do look like pearls
September 14th, 2015
Is it a photinia? Looks like it :)
September 14th, 2015
Very pretty but I haven't a clue what it is!
September 14th, 2015
Pretty capture.
September 14th, 2015
It is very nice
September 14th, 2015
Super detailed capture.

Plus a hot water bottle or electric blanket....I always miss mine when I go away. Just eases all the aching bits! I think you are always colder when away from home! Beautiful pearly florets...... & I don't think @graemestevens knows he's a good thing yet!
September 14th, 2015
@happypat Funny you saying that - I had a hot water bottle for the first time in months and months the night I came back! Graeme is probably hiding in the woods somewhere and photographing BigFoot!
September 14th, 2015
Viburnum I think but I'm not sure which one. You have caught the bouncing light beautifully.
September 14th, 2015
@snaphappi I think it is something like the word oleander, Maggie! I'm hitting my forehead with the palm of my hand!
September 14th, 2015
@maggiemae I hate to think of you banging away at your forehead - no good will come of that. Check out Viburnum tinus 'Eve Price' - looks like it to me. Love those pearly buds. http://www.waimeanurseries.co.nz/our-products/topiary/viburnum/viburnum-tinus-eve-price/
September 14th, 2015
Don't have a clue what the plant is, but it looks pretty ;)
September 14th, 2015
@snaphappi Thanks Maggie - definitely a viburnum! Now how shall I remember that - vi for victory, burn for hot tip, um for indecision!
September 14th, 2015
@kwiksilver Maggie has solved the identity, Gillian - viburnum!
September 14th, 2015
Pretty
September 14th, 2015
@maggiemae @happypat Now look here! I'll not have you saying I'm "good". I won't have it!
September 15th, 2015
Welcome home! These definitely look like pearls - lovely!
September 15th, 2015
@graemestevens OKdoke! I'll change that to 'bad'!
September 15th, 2015
What a beautiful plant, Maggiemae. It does look like pearls. Great photo of it too. FAV
September 15th, 2015
How beautiful! They so look like pearls.
September 15th, 2015
They look so shiny! Beautiful capture!
September 15th, 2015
I don't know what it is, but it reminds me of the Mountain Laurels that grow around here. They might be in the same family but who knows. Very pretty!
September 15th, 2015
@olivetreeann Our good friend Maggie @snaphappi identified it as a viburnum - there were a few botannical add on names but as usual have forgotten them instantly!
September 15th, 2015
@maggiemae LOL They were probably Latin which I am told is a "dead" language so it's ok to forget them!
September 15th, 2015
Beautiful flowers and shot.
September 16th, 2015
They really do look like little pearls! Beautiful shot xx
September 17th, 2015
Amazing -- I've never seen such crystal clear focus on ONE single part of a flower!
September 19th, 2015
@jyokota Its what has been a challenge to me, Junko - doing that with my camera! Thanks!
September 19th, 2015
Just lovely.
