Day 1 of travel was dictated into my iPhone on ’Notes' for remembering! The day was wonderfully started by an early Skype to son in Calgary where he organised us to meet up with Amy (DIL)’s parents near Austin, Texas! It went well and even the baby was included!
Three good things;
1. The car ran very economically- 5.4litres/100km.
2. This photo was taken from a high road above a beach in Sumner, Christchurch, NZ. Everyone was out walking the beach, climbing rocks, biking, sailing.
3. I keep imagining earthquakes here in Christchurch when we stay but they are only in my imagination!
That is so beautiful maggiemae.......the earthquake was centered round the coast I believe so this area would be badly effected I imagine. Car driving well so that's good...I am looking forward to you going on the ferry!
What beautiful view, and such gorgeous scenery!! It does remind me of a lot of places that we have visited along the coast here in California, so no wonder that it makes you think of earthquakes!! And, I am assuming that you are not hooking up with the inlaws in Austin, TX on this trip! ;-))
