aka Hong Kong.
Our window in the hotel looked out on this busy sea with all sorts of boats going in different directions. Junks, barges, cruise ships, ferries, tugs.
Three good things:
1. Super breakfast experience - over 42 dishes to choose from. I tries some odd balls that were cooked in a pot of boiling stock and John said they were just lambs balls! Actually just varieties of sausage.
2. Couldn't find a cord that charge my camera but did find a battery charger for the battery. After hours of walking! The markets were so colourful and busy!
3. A tapas bar in the hotel was extremely noisy but had wonderful cocktails and food based on parma ham!
Nice skyline shot. We got a lot of amusement from all the little boats on the water when we were in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Like you said -- all directions, all kinds....all day! Very interesting.
I never knew the nickname for Hong Kong was Honkers. 1 & 3 sounds like a gourmet paradise. Around the world in 80 dining experiences is a great start to the trip. Enjoy. I like the contrast between the skyscrapers and the old boat with red sails.
Great view with the delightful pop of red of the old boat livening things up !Sounds as if a great adventure has begun Maggiemae ,what a choice at breakfast !!!! Hope you enjoyed your choice in spite of John's comment !! ha ha !
