En route

I do appreciate my 365 friends - hidden but all have distinct personalities!

Today was a sea day on the Good Ship Silver Shadow sailing from Shanghai to Jeuju Island in South Korea. We had line dancing again and I got hot, left my jacket somewhere but it was turned in and I retrieved it.
This was my whisky sour that I ordered from the open deck bar and was made from bourbon instead of scotch but still nice. It was placed on a table above the pool deck where nobody was sitting sunning themselves due to the heavy mist that has surrounded us for over 24 hours. The fog horn going every 2 mins nearly made me jump out of my skin!

Three good things:
1. Some interesting herons sailed past and tried to land on this odd and moving island.
2. Some people like to dress up and the ladies I saw could have stepped out of a magazine with their long dresses and immaculate hairstyles! Didn’t even say hello to me with my sticky hair and jeans walking past them! (the men said hello)
3. This South Korean island of Jeju is unknown to me and intriguing. So is the history of all this area!
Looks like a nice drink... but would of been better with scotch.. You will just have to get Dolly'ed up one night Maggie..

@julzmaioro Trip the light fantastic, eh, Julia?
April 28th, 2016
Well, it is very hard to dance without having a drink, makes you feel the music better.
April 28th, 2016
Sounds like an amazing time!

@maggiemae photos please.

My husband used to teach line dancing back in the days when he was a mobile DJ (that's the kind that does weddings and parties and such). I used to go along as well. It was great fun. I do miss it at times but I don't know if my arthritic knees would like all the thumping! Nice shot.

I'll take your sticky hair and blue jeans any day over the snobby wanabees! The picture of your whiskey sour made me thirsty.
April 28th, 2016
Love the dof and tones!! Sea days can be relaxing...getting ready for the next big adventure.
April 28th, 2016
good tonality, sounds like a great time
April 28th, 2016
Cheers to you enjoying your drink

Great shot, tones, lighting...I had to laugh at your #2 good thing.
April 28th, 2016
Nice atmospheric shot. Was it a 'formal night' or just evening wear ??
April 28th, 2016
I would need a couple more of those drinks to make it through a sea day. I get sea sick on cruise ships! But I'm glad for you and enjoy sharing your journey through your photos and commentary.
April 28th, 2016
interesting shot, a lot of layers.
April 28th, 2016
@tonydebont There is one restaurant where you have to pay a surcharge here and its full formal. Not going to this one!
April 28th, 2016
@grammyn Thanks Katy - wish you were in the next cabin!
April 28th, 2016
Just go with the jeans and sticky hair Maggie. After all putting in the effort to get dolled up just wastes time when you could be having fun. I would like to see you line dancing in full evening dress though!

Bep
I'm with @grammyn

April 28th, 2016
just keep on being you...line dancing sounds like good fun but i don't think my legs would be up for it either...i'd not be up for the formal blah blah either...have fun!
April 28th, 2016
@thistle Well, next class I'll get doled up and get John to take a photo, Joyce!
April 28th, 2016
@olivetreeann You don't need knees for line dancing - just a brain that can concentrate, Ann
April 28th, 2016
@maree_sanderson I refuse to wear high heels though, Maree! I'd fall over every time I went round a corner and then never get up from the floor with my long skirt! Oh,...no!
April 28th, 2016
@maggiemae ...exactly! ...i CAN'T wear high heels anymore though i used to be able to do 6 inch stilettos without a thought...ahh...to be 19 again... but with the smarts i've got today... :o)
April 28th, 2016
Cheers to the whisky (bourbon) sour? A must before line dancing and wearing jeans is part of the dancing I thought! sounds like fun anyway.
April 28th, 2016
Looks like you're having fun, hope you're working your way through the cocktail menu!
April 28th, 2016
You do sound as if your having fun followed by a lovely drink, must have one myself.
April 28th, 2016
The fun on a cruise is to be you, relaxed and enjoying it. when Grace and I go cruising, we maybe dress up once or twice, but the rest of the time is casual.
April 28th, 2016
Cheers, here's to all our 365 friends!
April 29th, 2016
@maggiemae Awww! Such a nice thing to say. I do too but I get seasick so I probably won't ever happen!
April 29th, 2016
@maggiemae There is some twisting and turning- and lots of stomping though that might make me wince a bit.
April 30th, 2016
@olivetreeann There is only one stomp dance that I know, Ann and I have to be careful to have slippery shoes on the turn!
April 30th, 2016
You're obviously enjoying yourself far too much to be sitting in your cabin dolling yourself up Maggie, the men obviously know a fun girl when they see one!
April 30th, 2016
Looks like a good drink and sounds like a wonderful trip and place to visit. When you look at my photos you will see that I was on a ski boat for a ride but on a large boat with restaurants that made me dizzy if one moved around. Would love to take a cruise. Nice to see this all through your eyes. FAV
