Cocktail of the Day was “A Berry Nice Martini’ but I found it too sweet. We were staring out at the Port Scenes on Jeju Island, a South Korean destination but the volcanic hills were shrouded in mist. More mist! There were lots of lighthouses around, so it must have been tricky to get in this small harbour. We did see a big Cruise Boat aim towards it but it had to anchor outside the harbour.
Three good things:
1. A yoga class where I was the only lady and wished I had taken my glasses off - holding positions for absolutely ages as well as specs proved a serious problem!
2. An opera concert was totally the best - lovely arias and the very young performers were so good. I stood at the top of the stairs in the theatre and was asked if I wanted a seat about 4 times and if I wanted a glass of champagne about 5 times! I just wept a little for the beautiful music! (photo to come)
3. The ship obviously ordered a bottle of Shiraz for John who wanted one several nights ago and was told there wasn’t any! It must have been Shanghai where they loaded bottles of Australian Shiraz in for him!
Very misty and mysterious image. Love the lighthouse standing proud. The opera sounds very moving and beautiful. How spoilt to ge the shiraz especially ordered - I hop[e he enjoyed it more than your Berry Nice Martini
Loving your commentary of life on board, I am amazed at you being the only woman doing yoga, do men do yoga? Perhaps you meant you were the only one there!
@happypat No there were about 6, Pat. The men (except for one fit and supple gentlemen with no sense of humour) were a bit stiff. Next class there were 4 women and all (except for one enviable slim and supple young lady who had no sense of humour) fell over constantly laughing!
