Another sea day and it was exhausting for me - a lesson in cha cha, a huge afternoon tea where this samovar was used, a yoga lesson where I tried desperately to twist myself into the most uncomfortable positions! And up and down 4 flights of stairs several times!
Three good things:
1. The huge grapes in our fresh fruit bowl.
2. Kareoke last night when I plucked up enough courage to sing - ‘Me and Bobby McGee’. I reckon I wasn’t as bad as the following guys who were quite flat.
3. Trying not to get annoyed about the poor internet reception. More time to read though. Had a good book - ‘The Pilot’s Wife” which I’m enjoying.
@tonydebont I'm afraid that we haven't gone ashore much Tony - the side trips are too long and you have to book well ahead! People are staring at us in horror when we say we are not going to The WALL - Beijing! But its a public holiday and will take 4 hours to get there and 4 back and probably won't be able to move on the Wall!
@maggiemae A constant dilemma for us too. Are they worth going on ?? Why are some sold out 3 months before the cruise ?? How many can you do physically ?? I do enjoy some but don't feel compelled to do a shore excursion in every port.
@tonydebont I think because they say 'seats/places are limited' and nobody wants to miss out. We have booked well in advance for a float plane trip in Kodiak! Mountains, waterfalls, bears, whales...?
Well with all this exercise there no worry about you putting weight on.....so eat everything you see! You're certainly throwing yourselves into ship life with gusto! The shore trips do sound rather full on but I would have not been able to resist the Wall.
I like the faded effect in this photo. Makes it look like a shot from another era - the old luxury liners of the 20s maybe. And coming back to 365, I had forgotten about your Three Good Things! Now I'll look forward to them again - and be more conscious of my own!
