In Oamaru saw this fellow - What if he had to run anywhere! He would fall flat on his face!
Friday, 15th July - today is the beginning of another future!
We have bought a caravan! Not one with no facilities and a hard mattress but one with memory foam ones and full fridge/freezer, gas stove, grill and oven, television, a bathroom big enough to turn around and full self containment! A photo will arrive eventually!
Three good things:
1. I’m so excited I can’t contain myself!
2. John hasn’t got cold feet - warm socks!
3. Next step - get a tow ball on our car. Easy but expensive!
It sounds like what we call a motorhome. We've had one for years, started camping soon after we were married, and love it. Anxious o see a photo of it. And welcome to the open road.
Great street shot. I once had a student who actually tripped and fell on his low slung jeans. I kept telling him that this would happen. He, of course, ignored me. Congratulations on your caravan. I look forward to seeing your photo of it.
Nice shot. I do not like the jeans so low like this at all and see it here as well. Wow, how nice? We had a tent trailer we pulled with our car when I was a young girl for family vacations. Fun! Getting ready to do some traveling? I am envious. I want to travel the USA. Have a great time with it. Look forward to photos.
I don't go a bundle on the cut in material at the knee either. You've made your dream come true all in the space of a short time and wish you enjoy it for a long time to come.
@jaffacakes I was quite surprised when hubby came round to the idea so quickly! i tried not to be pushy but the caravan that was the best was going to be traded in by tomorrow if no-one bought it! I hope we are going to be physically able to handle it though for a long time!
This is a fashion that I don't understand at all! We were at a party tonight where two of the young female guests wore filmy, harem pants with the crotch between knee and ankle. I'm glad I'm old... congratulations on the caravan.
So ridiculous looking -- don't they realise how silly they look from the back ! Looking forward to view your new c/van -- we used to have a c/van the whole of our married life -- lovely carefree hols and weekends !!
Nice capture of today's world of sagging jeans...It is absurd and has very unfortunate origins from the world of incarceration which I'm sure a lot of these youngsters don't know about.
I saw a fellow at the electronic store last week with pants in the same way. But he was bending over putting things in the car and my goodness- there was just too much information exposed with the pants that low! I couldn't get the camera out fast enough- but maybe that was a good thing. fun shot!
Nice street scene -- certainly a statement of today's culture. I don't see how they walk very far in those, though, at least not comfortably. Congratulations on your caravan; it sounds wonderful! I'm looking forward to seeing your photo of it!
Ridiculous fashion. All the youngsters around here wear their jeans the same. I often tell them to pull them up I don't like seeing next weeks washing :) Must be a sign of getting old!!
Lovely capture and your lucky to have a caravan. I had one I used a lot but it went many years ago when I couldn't cope with it on my own. I do miss it so enjoy.
@grammyn You do see them often try to hitch the trousers up! They must be so uncomfortable ......but trendy.......for them! I posted a pic of the caravan on the 15th, Katy.
i say our youth will have back and other related problems before they turn 40 thanks to this ridiculous fashion. well, at least you're not in canada, the land of self-expression by fashion. just this afternoon at the bus, i almost wanted to tell this woman - she's not even young, for heaven's sakes! - she should have just not bothered putting in any clothes.
His jeans are just plain silly
Congrats on the caravan. May you enjoy many happy adventures with it.
Thrilled about your new acquisition and looking forward to the photos
