Chose a destination north of this morning and knew the wind would may be ‘gale’ force. John had to concentrate to keep us on the road with reducing speed to about 60km.
Got through safely over several large river valleys where the wind whipped up clouds of whatever. Down through a valley with high wooded hills to a camping ground called Ashley Gorge and the geographic name was “Starvation Hill”! Couldn’t find the origin on ‘google’.
Three Good Things;
1. We didn’t starve. Sausages on the BBQ together with a sauce we bought on the way - spiced fig and apple sauce, and also.. some new potatoes bought from a young boy at ta roadside stall who was thrilled to have a sale!
2. A clear and flowing river below us where I took this picture and processed it slightly artified! A young girl got stuck on a rock over the river and screeched!
3. Full batteries here as we are plugged into power.
