A Spanish Dancer by maggiemae

A Spanish Dancer

More rain and cold today - the fire was on all day! So not much to achieve in photography though I did try.

Yolanda has crossed a few borders and is now loving the Flamenco side to Spain! In particular, the men who are dedicated to this dance!

Three good things:
1. We are getting good moisture in our local area while floods are in the North and not being welcomed.
2. Vegetables were cheap in the supermarket at the moment - avocados, coloured peppers, courgettes, corn, mushrooms! My fridge is full!
3. Cat is still coping. Refused the fish today that she ate yesterday, accepted a very small amount of raw kidney as I was making lunch - kidneys and bacon. Not supposed to have uncooked kidney but I’m at my wits end! Its now 16 days without reasonable sustenance!
Nice colourful Yolanda! Hope your kitty picks up soon.

Mr. Man must be jealous.

@skstein I think he is starting to wonder where she is by now, Sandy!

Yolanda has let her blonde colour grow out! Too high maintenance perhaps!bad news about the weather, my brother & sister in law have just arrived in NZ & I would love them to have beautiful weather.

@happypat She's got a wig on Pat! Her purple hair has been contained - it took a lot of cloning! The weather looks as if it is going to clear on Wednesday all over NZ, Pat!

Yolanda is certainly having a great time in Europe. Lets hope she doesn't get carried away by the heat of the sun and the passionate dancing in Spain!! I can't believe your cat is still going strong without food and drink for all that time. Lets hope she picks up soon and gets her strength back. Big hug xx

@pamknowler The vet is stumped too at the cat's situation! Still refuses to eat today! - now 17 days!
March 12th, 2017
You are so creative! I love this against the white background.
March 12th, 2017
@maggiemae Oh yes purple, I forgot! I think she looks more ladylike with dark hair! Oh dear I missed the bit about your cat....is she sulking because you haven't taken her with you on holiday, our does!do hope she picks up!

Flamenco dancing is so beautiful! That dress would lend itself well to the Tango too!
March 12th, 2017
@happypat She stopped eating about 17 days ago, Pat - thought it was sulking at first then when she didn't start, I took her to the vet who did blood tests and said she was in renal failure. After a fortnight, took her back to the vet who expressed amazement that she was still in reasonably good condition. She had to have special food for the renal condition but of course she wouldn't eat it! She's eaten about 1TB raw fish and 1/2TB raw kidney that she didn't refuse. Today, nothing! Normal for a cat to go into liver failure after 2 -10 days without food!

@maggiemae
I love the Spanish language, there was a time that I tried to learn it better, but that was ages ago...

Yolanda looks to be in her element :)...#3...I hope Cat turns the corner to getting better.
March 12th, 2017
Olé! She looks so beautiful. Especially standing with those blue eyes.

You need to write a story about your cat and the ongoing saga
March 13th, 2017
@grammyn I think I need to know the ending before I can start that, Katy!
March 13th, 2017
@seattlite Actually the best I can hope for is that she deteriorates so much that John will agree to sending her over the rainbow bridge, Gloria. She must have irreparable damage inside her body!
March 13th, 2017
@maggiemae I get that
March 13th, 2017
My goodness the girl gets around!
March 13th, 2017
She sure gets around cute
March 13th, 2017
I have to say, I love that Yolanda is sharing her travels with is. Wonder where she will go next.
March 13th, 2017
And where to next !!
March 13th, 2017
I wonder too, where she will travel to next, she looks so lovely in red & will surely attract the eye of a male Flamenco Dancer....she may stay there for a while. You are clever Maggiemae. ")
March 13th, 2017
@happysnaps I'm having a ball, Valerie -she is my alter ego!
March 13th, 2017
Hola Yolanda. She looks very happy Maggiemae - maybe it's the Sangria?
March 13th, 2017
she does get around, doesn't she?
March 13th, 2017

March 13th, 2017
