More rain and cold today - the fire was on all day! So not much to achieve in photography though I did try.
Yolanda has crossed a few borders and is now loving the Flamenco side to Spain! In particular, the men who are dedicated to this dance!
Three good things:
1. We are getting good moisture in our local area while floods are in the North and not being welcomed.
2. Vegetables were cheap in the supermarket at the moment - avocados, coloured peppers, courgettes, corn, mushrooms! My fridge is full!
3. Cat is still coping. Refused the fish today that she ate yesterday, accepted a very small amount of raw kidney as I was making lunch - kidneys and bacon. Not supposed to have uncooked kidney but I’m at my wits end! Its now 16 days without reasonable sustenance!
Yolanda has let her blonde colour grow out! Too high maintenance perhaps!bad news about the weather, my brother & sister in law have just arrived in NZ & I would love them to have beautiful weather.
@happypat She's got a wig on Pat! Her purple hair has been contained - it took a lot of cloning! The weather looks as if it is going to clear on Wednesday all over NZ, Pat!
Yolanda is certainly having a great time in Europe. Lets hope she doesn't get carried away by the heat of the sun and the passionate dancing in Spain!! I can't believe your cat is still going strong without food and drink for all that time. Lets hope she picks up soon and gets her strength back. Big hug xx
@maggiemae Oh yes purple, I forgot! I think she looks more ladylike with dark hair! Oh dear I missed the bit about your cat....is she sulking because you haven't taken her with you on holiday, our does!do hope she picks up!
@happypat She stopped eating about 17 days ago, Pat - thought it was sulking at first then when she didn't start, I took her to the vet who did blood tests and said she was in renal failure. After a fortnight, took her back to the vet who expressed amazement that she was still in reasonably good condition. She had to have special food for the renal condition but of course she wouldn't eat it! She's eaten about 1TB raw fish and 1/2TB raw kidney that she didn't refuse. Today, nothing! Normal for a cat to go into liver failure after 2 -10 days without food!
@seattlite Actually the best I can hope for is that she deteriorates so much that John will agree to sending her over the rainbow bridge, Gloria. She must have irreparable damage inside her body!
I wonder too, where she will travel to next, she looks so lovely in red & will surely attract the eye of a male Flamenco Dancer....she may stay there for a while. You are clever Maggiemae. ")
She makes a good figure as a flamingo dancer and I'm sure will be noticed by the flamingo dancers. watch out pretty girl.
not so good news about poor kitty. how much longer can she sustain without food.
I love the Spanish language, there was a time that I tried to learn it better, but that was ages ago...
You need to write a story about your cat and the ongoing saga
