I also have camellias which provide a bright spark in our garden! This one provided some experimentation with my camera which would not focus.
Three good things;
1 I found my errant camera lens cap which slipped down the side of the car seat - it had fallen neatly into the small rubbish bag which I had shifted to look for this naughty cap!
2. Chocolates are on my food list to buy!
3. We both seem to need to sleep so much - have to stand strong somehow - otherwise we may not wake up!
Such an absolutely brilliant color for your Camellia. Mine are a hot pink but I love this brilliant color.
Considering the travels you have been on for the last three months youprobably need tons of rest. I think I like what you have put on your shopping list too! Can't go wrong with chocolates and go ahead and add ice cream while you're at it!
Funny how you can keep going when you have to but all of a sudden collapse when you get home? I knew your cap would be somewhere but it's amazing how they can escape detection for so long! Camellias are amazing in that they can stand such low temperatures yet look quite tropical while doing it!
@happypat You are right - different times of the year for different camellias but these ones have survived frosts and cold rain! John and I had turns going out to look for that errant cap under the car seat!
Despite any focussing problems, you came up with a great result. Both in the image and in finding the lost lens cap which must have been satisfying. hope you enjoyed chocolates to celebrate.
@dawnee John has in the past, put a tiny hole in the cap and tied it on with a bit of strong and thin string to the camera. Hasn't done it yet with this one!
