Having seen a black rabbit last night - must be a good omen, we are enthused with the weather today - calm lake and lots of snowy reflections.
Three good things:
1. We seemed to be the first up in our little private camp - and that was 8am!
2. Lost all battery power to our computers and thought about caring - but abandoned that thought!
3. Our new campsite was fascinating. We got the best site coming in first but watching other tourists pouring in in their big RVs or little’ long’ cars where they obviously slept was entertaining!
A stunning sight .. though my memories of Lake Tekapo were the very noisy dawn chorus of Canadian Geese... are they still there or have they moved on...
A wonderful scenic view Love the snow on the mountains , the stillness of the water ,nit black rabbits this time but black silhouettes if the figures admiring the view !
@beryl Did you notice the plump lady in full burkah there on the right? Not what I wanted in a closer picture but this is not too bad. She must have had replacement hips because she really waddled!
@grammyn I would have quite liked just one person sitting on that seat - but as they were all Asians ( one would think we live in Hong kong) they might not understand my directions!
Lake Tekapo, I know exactly where you are, makes it so much more interesting! It's so lovely with the snow, we only saw it ever in the summer. Love the silhouettes! Fave!
