I took two photos - one with the lupins in focus and a lower aperture to get this in focus (didn't work) then one using special focus.
Here, John is having a conversation with the herd who rushed down to the fence when they saw him. Gallop gallop!
Three good things:
1. Some real NZ cribs (holiday houses) here - held together with wire and corregated iron!
2. Got a good rolling wave photo - when the biggest wave came in and made this thunderous sound!
3. Some granny (grandpa) naps!
The jersey is listening very carefully! I love the way cows are so very knowledgable looking. I miss ours, the smell , the inquisitiveness, the warmth of their bodies as you stroke them. As they were inside for six months of the year they were very tame & used to rub on us & loved having their heads scratched. John is having a great conversation.
