The Watch by maggiemae

The Watch

We went to Switzerland courtesy of Baume et Mercier as they brought out a limited edition of a watch dedicated to John’s father, Burt Munro’s record that has never been broken. On a 1920 Indian Scout.
Three good things:
1. John and his young relation, Lee Munro who rode an Indian bike to a record last year, got a watch each.
2. John got his watch today which had been kept in a safe place till we returned home.
3. The back of the watch has John’s name and other details. Unique.
watch it is incredibly! it looks like an advertising photo! is definitely beautiful too !!!

Your composition of this commemorative watch is worthy of being an advertisement for the company! It’s a fabulous photo and it memorable gift for John
May 16th, 2018
@julzmaioro Wow - you will have to let him decide whether or not to drink it! Its an investment! John's not drinking his!
May 17th, 2018
@elatedpixie There was a movie made about him Ms P! Called "The Worlds' Fastest Indian'.
May 17th, 2018

You really captured it well and what an honor for Johns dad. Keeping the bike and his accomplishments alive . Used your 3 good things to help my mood yesterday.
May 17th, 2018
@lesip Glad I could help, sorry you had a mood upset!
May 17th, 2018

May 17th, 2018
@grammyn Indeed no, Katy - its the truth! I would never be sarcastic on 365 - too many people can take it the wrong way!

Amazing photo and a very handsome watch, a treasure to be sure something to hand down to future generations.
May 17th, 2018
A beautiful watch, I love the strong face, so easy to tell the time at a glance! Nice red strap too. Oh dear @julzmaioro FG is not to drink his whisky! I think he might ignore that perhaps! John must be delighted to receive this watch, I bet Lee wears his!
May 17th, 2018
A very handsome watch and something unique to your family.
May 17th, 2018
@happypat He can have it after the middle of August .. and then only a small nip at a time ..
May 17th, 2018
@happypat John has to read the manual first, Pat. Its an auto wind-up watch - winds itself up when worn. Lee wears his when he goes to appropriate meetings where he wants to impress.
May 17th, 2018
It's a memorable event he was given the watch for. even if he doesn't wears it.
May 17th, 2018
