Window Boxes by maggiemae

Window Boxes

On a cold walk around the block, I met 2 dogs who barked, and 2 cats, one of whom came up for a stroke and as often happens wanted to follow me. I tried to hide around fences and eventually he gave up!
I noticed this lovey historic old house that for the last 8 years have had nothing in these built in window boxes. Now they are all planted and you can see the difference!

Three good things:
1. Sunshine when others were preparing for snow.
2. A new 365 to me recognised a previous photo and hey presto - she lives in Oamaru… I think, @jodieblampied365 Um…she’s very good.
3. A new cracker that is better to eat by itself than chocolate!!

@cdonohoue So have I, Cathy but hubby says they cause mould and mildew on the outside walls!

Marvelous photo of the window boxes. Wait a minute, a cracker that’s better than chocolate?! How could that be! Ha!

A beautiful photo especially with those windowboxes full of flowers. How exciting to find a neighbor on 365. And no way about the cracker!

@louannwarren Well, they are full of interesting flavours - toasted black sesame seeds, sunflower oil, brown sugar, cumin, garlic, soy and rosemary!

How delightful & I so like the blue trim....flowers always make the 'world' brighter.

Really neat shot - love the color contrast.

@onewing

Like the POV...complements the windows effectively. Hint of the Med, although you'd never see a house there...or anywhere in France without shutters.

@s4sayer That's very true, Margo! We don't see shutters here much, maybe we don't have hurricanes to need them?
