I was inspired by images of Van Gogh once more and chose to make the most of a plate of fruit and our early flowering camellias. Gouche didn’t work but another style pleased me.
Three good things:
1. I have to do an exercise 100 times on each side but didn’t find it too bad! Its going to help, I know.
2. I miss the TV programme with Wimbledon during the day! Golf is not the same. Everything has an ending. And a beginning, of course!
3. Put out some brandied apricots which have been in a jar in the larder for over 20 years, out for the birds! They loved it in spite of shaking their heads a bit at the taste! There was a lot of singing after this!
I expect the birds were drunk, lucky birds! I always get withdrawal symptoms after Wimbledon! Not been as bad this year because of the hog weather, it's so lovely to sit out sometimes staying inside & watching TV was a waste of the weather. I liked the golf too! . Lovely Van Gogh van Munro..
A beautiful image and edit ! You manage to put a big smile on my face with your 3 good things !! No 3 is hilarious ,- poor birds must be as high as a kite on that vintage brandied apricots !!
Reminds me more of Georgia O'Keeffe's style than Van Gogh's but it is most certainly a work of art. I love BeFunky and use it quite often (is this one of the underpainting settings?) . Nicely done Maggie!
Fun to think about drunken birds singing!
Glad the birds enjoyed Happy Hour
