The mountains around us were supposed to have received a lot more snow after this cold spell sped through!. We had none but in some parts of NZ, 1000s of lambs were lost! But this is what I saw walking up the road not far from our home!
Three Good Things:
1. My day was the same as yesterday but so much better somehow!
2. Tv is so good for stories e.g… Second Best Marigold Hotel..The most famous actors!
3. Reheated the over cooked cauliflower with fresh baby peas and parsley - jolly good!
@maggiemae I feel the same way too. Of course, anything with Maggie Smith and Judi Dench in is a must-see for me anyway. Did you see the TV series with a similar set of characters checking out retirement possibilities in India, obviously a reality spin-off from the Marigold Hotel/s. I'll find the title and let you know, well worth watching.
A magnificent shot of those beautiful snow topped mountains and light falling on them. Just loved both Marigold Hotels and acting. Your 3 things sound fab too :)
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Your words echo mine - who wants to play in the snow... you only get very wet, very cold, and there are all those others who have lots of money to ski, snowboard or fall into crevasses if they form!
@maggiemae skiing was on my Before Fifty list- best day was when I truanted from ski school, put on snow shoes and with a group built a real igloo. It does look pretty, but I hate the cold.
Lovely shot with snow capped mountains.
I am with Marnie, anything with Judi Dench and Maggie Smith is brilliant.
Have you seen The Four Dames? I saw it at the cinema a few weeks ago.
Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Joan Plowright and Eileen Atkins.
@onewing One of the programs I reaalalally enjoyed was Doc Martin and this is where I first saw Eileen Atkins! She's a Dame now! Not good looking but a wonderful actress!
@gardenfolk The lambs were too new to survive the sudden cold temperatures and driving rain. They became what they call "slinkies' Use the virgin wool for other products
I loved that film! We have a sort I'd spin off to show where elderly celebrities visit places & see if they could live there. Your view is stunning, the snow capped mountain in the distance just draws the eye just enough snow in your part to look pretty & not inconvenience anyone. Sad about all the hardships for lambs & farmers, heartbreaking to lose lambs like that.
:-)

Marigold Hotel movies were fun.
I love your three good things. Sometimes attitude is everything in changing perspective from one day to the next. Your food always sounds good!
